Your fingers brush the thick spine of your favorite Goosebumps book, and you can't stop yourself from cracking it open. As soon as you do, a rushing sound fills the air. The light in the room suddenly becomes blinding, and you can't see anything. An odd, tingling sensation sweeps through your body, and the floor seems to be shaking--

Everything stops. You aren't sure how long you've been passed out when you open your eyes. Everything is dark around you. As your eyes adjust to the light, you feel hard concrete beneath you. You stand up and move around; you seem to be in some kind of basement. You notice a small window; no light is coming through, but you might be able to reach it. You think there might also be a door at the top of a steep set of stairs.
